Raising a new puppy is fun and exciting, but it can also be overwhelming and frustrating. You may be having a blast, or you may be wondering if you’re doing it right. Either way, we know it’s hard work. At this critical time in your puppy’s development, we want to support you by giving you the skills to:

Puppy Classes

Our group puppy classes are designed to give you the tools to:

✦ Raise a confident, well-adjusted dog

✦ Teach life-saving skills like coming when called, drop it, & leave it, along with foundation skills like loose leash walking & settling on a mat

✦ Best meet your puppy’s needs, prevent undesirable behaviors, and develop a cooperative and long-lasting relationship

Puppy Playgroups

Group play that is carefully managed by a certified professional trainer allows you to socialize your puppy with other appropriate puppies, practice name response and recalls, and take home a tired puppy!

Tuesday evenings in Laurel, MD
5:30 PM: “Little League”
6:00 PM: “Junior Varsity”
$20 per 30 minute session

Puppy Explorer Camp

Keep travel worry-free by sending your puppy to camp!

We know how stressful it can be to leave your dog in someone else’s care, especially during this critical period in their development. Let someone who understands the importance of proper early socialization care for your puppy as if he or she were her own.

Campers stay in the home of Play & Train Dog Behavior’s owner in Laurel, MD. Puppies receive individual care, including interactive play, enrichment, training (reinforcement of desirable behaviors), and appropriate rest.

Packages include our Puppy Primer (our manual on all things puppy), written homework, email follow-up, & a $25 discount on optional group class enrollment

    Minor League

    Ideal for owners who want help with puppy socialization, house-training, chewing, and nipping, as well as training for a few basic manners (i.e. sit, down, no jumping, coming when called, go to bed, etc.).

    Four 50 minute training sessions
    Attendance at one playgroup
